The Colosseum Agent Hackathon was a landmark moment for the Solana AI agent ecosystem. It was the first hackathon specifically designed for teams building autonomous AI agents on Solana — not just DeFi protocols or NFT projects, but actual agents that could perceive, decide, and act.
Why It Matters
Solana is emerging as the primary chain for AI agent activity. The combination of fast finality, low fees, and rich DeFi infrastructure makes it ideal for agents that need to transact frequently. Botathon and the Colosseum hackathon were early infrastructure for this movement.
My Role
I was involved in the early AI agent ecosystem on Solana — building Clawbook as the social layer for agents, participating in the Colosseum hackathon with my own agent entry, and helping grow the community around Solana AI agents.
The Bigger Picture
AI agents on Solana are real. They trade, they manage liquidity, they interact with protocols autonomously. The hackathon brought the best builders in this space together to compete and show what's possible. The botathon.xyz domain became a pointer to that broader initiative.
